Bamenda Sunday Collection 1 Nov
To support projects in our sister Archdiocese of Bamenda in Cameroon. Donations may be made via DONA machines.

First Friday – 6 November
From 16:30 – Exposition – Silent Adoration
Rosary - Vespers – Benediction – Mass at 18:00.

First Saturday – 7 November
From 11:00 – Rosary -Adoration – Meditation – Mass at 12:15.

Remembrance Sunday Service
8 November. Held at the Cenotaph in Guildhall Square. A traditional two-minute silence is observed at 11:00.

Parish Finance Sunday (Nov 7/8)
The parish accounts for the year ended 31 August 2026 will be published over the weekend of 7/8 November. Members of our Finance Committee will be available after most Masses to answer your questions.

Deceased Parishioners’ Mass
Please join us on Sat 14 Nov at 12:15 to pray for our parishioners who have died in the past year. Their names will be read aloud and a candle lit.

Priest Retirement Fund
There will be a retiring collection on 14/15 Nov for our diocesan retired priests. Donations may also be made via DONA machines.

Celebration of Talents
Sun 15 Nov from 13:30–16:30. Showcase your singing, dancing, or performing skills! Donations for the Cathedral150 appeal.

Canon David Mahy RIP
Please pray for the happy repose of Canon Mahy who was cathedral administrator from 1967 to 1975 and who died on 26 October.

Advent Retreat
Join us for our Advent Retreat on Friday 27 Nov (16:00 to 20:00) and Saturday 28 Nov (09:30 to 12:00).

Discipleship Groups
We invite our children and youth to come together for faith, fun and fellowship!
- SPARK (Years 3 to 6): Meets in the Cathedral Hall on the first Friday of each month from 16:00 to 17:30.
- FLAME (Years 7 and above): Meets in the Cathedral Hall on the first Friday of each month from 18:30 to 20:00.

Christmas Day Lunch needs drivers
Help make the St John’s Christmas Day Lunch possible by volunteering as a driver. Contact Janet on 0790 7104 890 asap to sign up (DBS and training required).

Choir assistants needed
To help chaperone choir rehearsals each week. You will require a DBS check and undergo safeguarding training. Contact: grichford@portsmouthdiocese.org.uk or 07901339618.

Sponsor one of the Cathedral’s 12 beautiful wreaths or buy a limited-edition one for your home for a £25 donation. Order wreaths for home use via the Parish Office.
