Monthly Enquirers’ Group
Monday 29 June at 18:30 in the CDC. For adults at the early stage of enquiring about the Catholic faith. Just turn up on the day!

Lectio Divina
Wed 1 July at 18:30 in the CDC. All are welcome to prepare for the next Sunday’s readings, particularly those who read at Mass.

Nine First Fridays Devotion, 3 July 
From 16:30 with recitation of the Rosary, Exposition, Evening Prayer and Benediction ending with Mass at 18:00 to honour and make reparations to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Youth Group & Confirmation 2027
Meets on Friday 3 July in the hall from 18:30-20:00 for ages 12-17. Please note that attendance at this group is a requirement to be confirmed in 2027.

Five First Saturdays Devotion, 4 July
To make reparation to Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart for the sins of the world. Starts at 10:30 with Adoration, Confession, Rosary, 15 mins of Meditation and ends with Mass at 12:15.

Annual Naval Mass is Sunday 5 July
We welcome Bishop Paul Mason of the Bishopric of the Forces who will celebrate Mass at 10:00.  Serving personnel, veterans and their families are invited to come together.

Tabletop and Cake Sale, 5 July
After 10:00 & 12:00 Masses. Cakes and saleable items would be welcomed. Every penny raised goes to the Cathedral150 appeal.

Exhibition of Old Vestments
Some of the Cathedral's collection of old vestments will be on display in the CDC on Fri 10 July (10:00 to 14:30), Sat 11 July (11:00 to 14:00 and 17:00 to 18:00) and Sun 12 July (08:45 to 14:00 – the Lord Mayor will visit at 10:05 – and 17:00 to 18:00).

Apostleship of the Sea Collection
Will be taken on 11/12 July to fund pastoral, emotional, and practical support for seafarers and fishers.

Priestly Ordination Rev Jack Ryan
Takes place here on Saturday 18 July at 11:00. Please keep him in your prayers. This is an opportunity to pray for an increase in vocations most especially to the priesthood in our diocese.

First Anniversary of Ordination
Fr Ryan Browne will celebrate his first anniversary as a priest on Sunday 19 July. He is saying the 10:00 Mass, followed by a reception in the hall. All are welcome!

Assisted Suicide Bill
A new attempt is being made to revive the Bill in this parliamentary session by Disability rights group Not Dead Yet UK. Send a message in just 30 seconds at action.notdeadyetuk.org.

Pope Leo has published his first encyclical Magnifica Humanitas, in which he reflects on the challenges and opportunities of artificial intelligence in light of Catholic social teaching, calling all to safeguard human dignity. Copies are available from our Repository (£6.95) or can be downloaded from the Vatican website.
